There was a period of time where I could happily sew for my dolls the whole weekend. Right now? I couldn't be less interested in sewing, much to my exasperation. I want doll clothing that is sewn, but all I want to make is knitted items! LOL
That will switch around and reverse itself at some point or another, if I'm patient. In the meantime, I did manage to make some sleeves and a mock shirt-bottom that Nora can use with a variety of sweaters:
I'm a bit envious of your ability to do both, lol! I can sew, but I couldn't knit more than a basic scarf, the ends wouldn't be pretty. :). I adore all of your dill knits. The sleeves and false tee bottom look great with the sweater. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! See, I'd like to be able to sew as well as you do! LOL
DeleteOh that is a great outfit on her! I like the shirt bottoms and false sleeves, I have never done that, I've always just made the whole shirt, but this is such a great idea. I hope you won't mind if I do something like this one day.....although mine won't have the knitted bit, unfortunately!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find your sewing mo-jo again soon, I know what it's like, I often lose mine!!!
Hugs Sharon xx
Not at all! The removable sleeve idea was from one of Wovenflame's knitting patterns....it worked so well that it occurred to me the same thing would work to make a layered look. :)
DeleteI'll hold out hope that the sewing bug is not gone forever, but just 'resting'...
Hehe... If you would like some sewn items, maybe we could work out a trade! XD I can't seem to stop sewing but my girls are begging for some warmer things!
