A different size...

I haven't had a lot of crafting time this summer, but what I have been working on is all American Girl Doll size.

A small relative will be turning five at the end of September, and she is getting a Journey Girl doll.  We'll see how much she plays with it before considering either a Maplelea or American Girl doll. I've been working away on a wardrobe for the doll as part of her birthday present.  As always, I have knit a bunch of things, and left the sewing up/snaps/buttons for last.  But I did put the buttons on three items today!  And weave in the apparently endless amount of ends on another item.

I love the variety of patterns for this size - The Journey Girls are a bit thinner, but sweaters, tops, and dresses seem to fit just fine.

My favourite thing so far is this pattern:

Even the non-doll-people have been pleased with this one, so hopefully the little recipient will like it too! It is in her favourite colour.

I am very tempted  to do another in a nice shade of blue or a cheery red, for my little fit model above to keep.  ;)

The 18 inch dolls are really too big for most of the doll props I have, but will work with the floor and background with a bit of care, and this board game fit in her hand perfectly!

    1. Thanks! Hopefully she will. :)

It's funny you mention Sasha, I dreamed last night that I found one for sale at a local store for $40 and bought it! LOL Probably as a result of all your lovely photos of your Sasha dolls...
