In Waiting Mode

I've been away at a conference for work most of this week, so I haven't been getting much accomplished.   I worked a bit on a laceweight sweater for Emily, but I'm near the end and 150 stitch rows take such a long time to finish when they are in a stitch pattern!  LOL  Or maybe that is just me.  It is slow going at this point, though it was quite quick at the beginning when there was a smaller number of stitches!

I have a second sweater mostly completed, but it is for Claire, so I want to wait for her body to get here before I finish it off.  There are differences between MNF and Ellowyne, so to get the best result I need to wait.  It shouldn't be too much longer...

I'm hoping to have some sewing time this weekend, as I am dearly looking forward to using some nice fabric to make Emily's dress, now that the basic pattern is worked out in the muslin.  I've got some really soft and lovely navy fabric from an old blouse that was donated, and a bit of grey fabric that I just adore.  I think the two will go together well, but I guess we'll find out. ;)

I am also on Spampy's list, just waiting for my turn - I wanted to get a couple things for Flake in particular. I don't enjoy sewing anything even remotely complicated for her, as she is so tiny that I get frustrated.

So, mostly waiting.  Waiting for Claire's body, waiting on the waitlist, waiting for time to work on something.... LOL  I'm sensing a theme.

    1. It definitely is! I just find it amusing that things seem to wind up coming in groups. LOL

I'm telling myself that with Christmas and all, the cat probably won't be here till January. That way if it comes this month or next, I will be thrilled! :D

  2. I was just going to say the same as icicle, it seems that in the bjd hobby nothing is quick, everything is a waiting game and it can get really frustrating! But it does sound like you're being kept really busy all the same. I hope all your waiting will soon be over....Oh and then you'll probably find something else to wait for! ;)

  3. I totally get you! i am on a waiting moment too...waiting for 2 dolls and waiting for 2 heads that went out for face-ups...in the meanwhile I try to plan my new characters but sometimes I wish this hobby was a bit faster... hehe! Other than that I am also in a busy period and I don't have much time for dolls...
Hopefully you get your stuff soon and you are able to have some time soon too :)
