I'm liking Craftsy....

Are you all familiar with Craftsy?  I've been looking at it lately, and actually listed my free pattern there.

That lets me do this:

(I'm easily amused, okay?  LOL)

They actually have tons of patterns, both free and for pay, with instant download.  There's not a lot there for BJDs, but that could change!

I took one of their free mini-courses - I tend to prefer learning things from a written source, so I can go back and double-check things repeatedly, but I actually like the way they did it, so I took a chance on a purchased class.

Surprisingly, I'm really enjoying it!  And I can watch it as often as I like, which is helpful for someone with a poor memory like me.  There were also a lot of written materials to go with the course, which I can print out, which pretty much makes it the best of both worlds for me.

  1. That's great and the little jacket looks lovely on her!
I went and looked at this site and was impressed with the number of patterns to be had! The only frustrating thing I found was that if I clicked on a pattern to look at it, when I went back to the patterns again, it took me back to the beginning of the category again!
I would really love to be able to knit something for my Sashas. I made a sock this week, just the one, and it was too small!!! LOL

    1. It's a fun site, but I agree with you about the frustration of winding up back at the beginning again! It seems like an increasingly common design on sites, but it makes no sense to me!

I have to admit...I've never finished a sock!! I get bored and wander off! LOL But there are a growing number of patterns on Ravelry for Sasha too, if you are looking! :)

  2. Have you tried Youtube also for learning? That's how I taught myself how to crochet, just watching Youtube videos. I find I tend to learn better when I see someone do it.

I think I've stumbled onto that site before searching for something or other.

I love the photo you posted and that adorable jacket. Kind of makes me wish I had a Yo-SD to wear one!

    1. I've tried YouTube occasionally, and it's been kind of hit or miss for me - sometimes they have really great and useful videos, and sometimes I wind up wishing I'd just looked up the written version. LOL
