So I've spent a couple more lunch breaks playing on Pinterest.
I have some ideas for the Pukifee wardrobe (though frankly, they have a lot of clothes and are low priority! LOL)
And then I thought...if I had unlimited skills and time, what sort of things would I make for the dolls?
Apparently, I would make a bedroom for Claire, a bedroom with three beds for the Pukifee, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen.
I should get right on with the skill development!
These pinboards have been fun to put together, and they are definitely inspiring me. I did a swatch for a sweater for Emily last night (this totally does not count as starting something new before I finish the two items I swore I would finish before starting something new ::shifty eyes:: ), and I think I can straight up use DWD Free Pattern #8 for it as a base. I'm basing it on this one, but making it with raglan sleeves. Because I hate sewing in sleeves.
P.S. BJD cat is IN my city as of an hour ago. Should be home today or tomorrow then! :)
Oh it totally does, but who's counting -- doll sweater swatches are small :)
ReplyDeleteI see no pins! but on the link, those boots are crazy awesome and that sweater is cute, easy to chart too. I'm not showing my daughter that image -- she's clothes crazy enough as it is...
Yay for kitty -- promise to spam loads when s/he arrives!
Oh, found'em! -- my dd is Emily-aged -- for inspiration have you seen Olive Juice ( http://www.olivejuicekids.com )? This winter is a bit blah but keep an eye on them for sweet classics...
DeleteOh, thanks for that link! That is perfect for Emily.... :D
Delete(And aren't those boots in that picture hilarious? Not very practical, but I can see my niece wanting them! LOL)
That is a very cute outfit and I can see it looking super on a Emily! As I've said a million times....I wish I could knit properly! Maybe I should make 2014 the year that I learn to knit decent garments? LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat news on the kitty, I look forward to seeing it when it's safely home!
There are a lot of patterns for Sasha out there, if you are interested in knitting next year! :D
DeleteTruthfully, after all this time, I couldn't say if I knit "properly" - I was shown how to cast on and do the knit stitch as a child, but the rest I learned from books... LOL
Is pin interest like an eletronic corkboard? I've never actually looked at that place. I am however, buying myself a corkboard soon.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed your cat arrives for you today!
Yes, it works exactly like that. You make a board, and then you can search for things to add to it (both within Pinterest and on the Internet in general), so that you have them all in one, themed place. I'm finding it entertaining! :)
